Rear Admiral Gbassa upholds intelligence sharing in inter-agency cooperation

The Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Jason Gbassa, has expressed his support of actionable intelligence sharing in inter-agency cooperation.

Gbassa made the remarks when he received Mr. Okoro Eweka, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Lagos State, who was on a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the Western Naval Command.

He thanked  Eweka for the initiative to visit the Command on his assumption of office as the Commandant of the NSCDC Lagos State, recently.

He reiterated that there must be constant review of processes, in order to synergize with other security stakeholders.

Gbassa stressed the importance of collective efforts of all security stakeholders in the continuous task of securing the Western Naval Command Area of Responsibility; and therefore considered Eweka’s visit as timely for a sustained working relationship between the Nigerian Navy and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

The Commandant, NSCDC Lagos State, said he visited the Command to further strengthen the existing relationship between both organisations.

He said that the NSCDC is a critical partner to the Nigerian Navy in combating pipeline vandalism and other national infrastructure.

He, therefore, assured Rear Admiral Gbassa that his administration would carry out operations within the ambit of guiding principles.
