174 bidders win cars at Customs e-auction

A total of 174 bidders have emerged winners of cars at the Nigeria Customs e-auction that spanned Monday to Wednesday, marking the first week of the new auction system.

In a statement, the Customs Service said a total of 6,938 persons participated in the bid with 198 cars uploaded.

It instructed that the winners must make payments within five days and 14 days from the day of payment to proceed with taking possession of their own items or forfeit them.

It added that “Failure to pay within five days will lead to revocation of the item and deactivation of the defaulter’s TIN from further participation in the NCS e-auction process.

“The e-auction platform app.trade.gov.ng/eauction will continue to be opened for 48 hours to interested bidders weekly.”

The Customs pledges equal opportunities to all Nigerians irrespective of status, tribe or religion and assures the public of its determination to maximize the use of technology for better service to Nigerians.
